I don't care about TC and wlb right now. What's it like at Tesla for swes in terms of complexity of work for the average engineer and the learning that happens? I don't have a PhD so outside of self driving is there cutting edge work for swes?
Isrg is awesome. What do you think of the stock? Buying opportunity?
It was 455 when I started. High this yeAr is 615. With the 23% YoY growth. I will buy. I won’t advise for you tho, I don’t know much about stock trading.
It's a culture of sweatshoping and fingerpointing.
I just left the company and can tell you that it’s a horrible work culture. Compensation isn’t good enough (for the Bay Area) to make it worth it. Managers are overloaded, most software engineers have no idea what’s going on, there is not product management, and the business users demand features that they don’t use. The software is of exceptionally poor quality and the technical leaders are too busy to do anything about it. There’s also nothing interesting about it unless you’re really into cars or supply chain. My advice — skip it.
Which team were you on?
Hope you got all your stock before you left 😬
Heard it’s not a great culture there despite recent stock hike. I would stay away.
What did you hear?
