What's the best city for UX Design careers?
I'm a 30 yo black male and I live in the Twin Cities. Been here most of my life and I'm looking for something new. Goals: - Access to the outdoors. - Legal marijuana would be a big plus. - I'd like to avoid the Seattle ice and Minnesota nice type of mindsets. - I'm interested in finding a life partner (hetero). - Somewhere diverse preferably nowhere thats 80-90% white. I've lived here for my whole life, and I'm tired of it. It's a great place to raise a family, but pretty mediocre for a single bachelor. edit: By all means your friend should still move here, it's a lovely place.

Is the pay in-line with the housing market? The median home prices there are 750,000k... I mean I have a rental property here in the cities that I could sell in a few years but still...

Yeah, but it ticks all of the other boxes. Dating might be the only tricky part, IME people are generally against miscegenation.
That's fair, they are great cities with a lot to offer that's worth considering. Just pointing out that downside in the off chance you weren't aware how shockingly white those cities are :D
Not going to find many people that look like you in any tech company. Shouldn't deter you. Just go in knowing that you'll most likely be one of a few and most classified as black will be african or carribean immigrants.
