What’s the difference between a solution engineer vs partner engineer?

Both seem to be a mix of coding and dealing with clients, yet the title is different?

I’d say a solution engineer works more closely with sales/project coordinators/account managers as a technical POC for larger clients. Each time I’ve heard “partner” has been in reference to a certain level of title. A partner often receives a defined level of profit sharing above the standard benefits package offered to all employees. I’m guessing a high level IC (director level?) who’d receive executive comp.
