Let's share the latest policy here so people can have more information when searching for jobs. Dropbox just increased the benefit to 24 weeks for maternity or paternity. It was previously only 8 weeks for non birthing parent. I don't know how many people are going to to take the full leave. Also, there's not many parents at Dropbox, most engineers are recent grads.
Uber - 18weeks for both parents, eligible from day 1 Lyft - 18weeks (I believe for both as well), eligible from day 1 Square - 16 weeks for both, eligible from day 1 Kabbage (if anybody cares) - 12 for mothers, 4 for fathers, only after year of employment I just interviewed for the companies above (except Uber, my husband used to work there) and given that I'm expecting that's the info I was given
Microsoft, 12 weeks for father's, up to 20 weeks for mothers
Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, 52 weeks for mothers and fathers
Wow!
1 Year 😎
Socialism within a company is pretty great as long as it stays there.
20 weeks - both parents
12 weeks for both parents. Sick days can be used to support recovering self or partner.
boeing - 3 months, full pay. mother or father. delivered or adopted.
Great news! I'm pregnant and my husband is interviewing with Dropbox now!
How do you like Kabbage? Been thinking of moving to ATL.
I'm not in ATL. I'm in SF. They acquired my company and I left three weeks later. I didn't like company culture, I didn't like eng leadership, they don't care about people, their benefits are nonsense
