That's what Instagram does. But their video streaming isn't that good. You can clearly see the difference between Instagram videos and TikTok streaming.
Almost all the videos u watch on tiktok are from influencers which are easier to cache/optimize. Your inst feed may be mixed with personal connections, those are the ones dragging the performance down.
Ironically they use ReactJS for the web. FB is inadvertently helping its biggest competitor.
