What's the tech stack used at TikTok?

What's used for their web app? Where do they host their videos? (The videos play so smooth and seamless, when YouTube faces hick ups) Do they use any open source projects? Do they contribute to any open source projects ?#tech #tiktok #bytedance

Almost all the videos u watch on tiktok are from influencers which are easier to cache/optimize. Your inst feed may be mixed with personal connections, those are the ones dragging the performance down.

It's like Amazon uses Java for backend. Oracle is inadvertently helping its competitor. Oracle sued Google for using Java on Android. Maybe Facebook should do the same.
