Are all stocks falling because of the China chip issue? The fall seems pretty significant for coming out of nowhere.
Mostly rates going up
This whole year was a massive anomaly. The tax cuts stopped the decline we observed in Feb. That was stopped and reversed by reptriated cash stock buy back. Interests are rising giving a higher yield. Do you see US economy growing by 4-5%? Neither do I. Will stocks grow that much if economy isn't growing? Nope. Thus, people, especially hedge funds who made a ton in stocks in the last few years are simply rebalancing, at the expense of your 401k of course.
The rise came up from nowhere, didn't it?
Treasury bond interest rates (risk-free yield) has increased. Makes other assets less attractive.
Don't you mean "What's down with US stocks?" *Badum-pish*
just profit taking by the institutions. Dow hit ath just few days ago nothing to worry
Do we hodl on then or what..?
Trump. #1 inflationary tax cut is driving up interest rates #2 trade war

Guys who don’t work out: why?
Overvalued. Rates going up. Going back to FMV. Earnings start Friday. They’re going to need to be big in order for the stock market to continue going up. 2019 will be bad. Tax benefit will be gone (no sugar high) and will need to stand on their own. Bear market in 2019.
