Traps are difficult. I was doing straight Barbell shrugs for the longest time. However I don't know how one is supposed to do it without jacking up one's Jimmy. I guess if you lean over far enough but that puts lots of pressure on your lower back. Anyways started doing rack pulls. Totally kills my traps and have added good size and thickness to both the traps and delts.

How advanced of a lifter are you? Are those programs better than 531, Texas Method, or the free stuff out there?
I’ve been lifting consistently for the past 12 years and have decent numbers given my height and weight (+1200 lifting total among the big 3) — Usually 3-4 days a week in the gym. First, I’d say if cost is your concern, you can absolutely find similar programs for free. Really anyone can put together their own programming if they just sit down and research and do trial and error. As for “better”, I will say I saw increased thickness and definition half-way through each of these programs. They air more on the side of higher volume with medium weights but hit you with high percentages of your ORM as well. Ultimately, you gotta decide what works best for you. These programs are great for building strength and size (though there are some toning options too.) If you’d like I can share with you a couple of pages in DM to ascertain how they are.
