What's your status between OPT EAD expiry date and declaration of H1B lottery results?

My employer will file for my H1B in April 2019. I will continue working beyond April until June 2019 on my OPT. Once my OPT expires in June 2019 and the H1B lottery results are still awaited, am I allowed to continue working?

(I don't have a stem extension)

Can continue to work after june under cap Gap if your petition was selected in lottery and is being processed. Check with attorney instead of asking random blind folks.

They turned the onus of reporting out of status on F1 Visa from USCIS to students. Once you're out of status, you have to file a form and pay some penalty to remove your out of status on F1 Visa once you accrue more than 120 days of unemployment on stem opt.

USCIS is complicating situations for F1 Visa holders more than what it already is. Best to check with experienced attorney
