Hey Guys, I’m on h1b and I got a new job and the h1 transfer is done and has the start date of January 27. So if I give my employer a two week notice, Im worried that he will hold on to my pay ( since Im working at a desi firm he delay paycheck by a month, I get paid every 15 days). should I give two week notice or just lie to him saying Im on vaccation and get paid my entire paycheck and then let him know? , what could be the consequeces of doing as such? and would there be any problem if I join the new company late by a week or 2. please help me guys, looks like I dont have much time - all I want is to leave my current employer gracefully and still get all my money from him. Google CFO confirms 'large-scale' layoffs (Apr 17)
Just give 2 weeks notice. There will be no second question. Legally they cannot hold the paycheck.
I heard stories of him holding pay from some of the people who work at the consultancy. What should I do if he hold down the paycheck.
But they will eventually pay it out to you. Keep your end clean by 2 weeks notice.
