Salesforce has this documented in the exit documentation which is easily found in concierge (internal help portal) for anyone that is competent to search.
You have 60 days to enroll in COBRA after your previous company’s insurance ends. The loophole is that as long as you sign up before 60 days, it’s retroactively applied. So it if you sign up on, e.g., day 34 because you break your arm on day 33, you get COBRA back to when your insurance lapsed and you’re covered. HR filled me in on this when I was leaving my first job. Didn’t bother with COBRA because my next job started prior to the 60 days and I didn’t have any health concerns.
