On Blind all Netflix employees seem pretty satisfied besides all the bad press around the company and its culture. Maybe only the people who got fired are the ones complaining? Where are the frustrated employees?
Yeah, I think we’re doing well. There’s not a lot of complaints in our channel too.
You wanna see frustrated employees? Come to amazon channel
Ours is probably pretty high up there
What are they frustrated about?
I wonder where Netflix employees go after they work there for a while
How do you like Pure Storage?
Life ain't bad at Pure
Smaller company too. So probability-wise it is less likely that you’d run into a disgruntled one. Compared to rest of the FANG they are miniscule.
It’s good here. And the bad press has sparked some really interesting discussions.
They are too busy working to post on blind.
You can’t make eye contact with opposite gender for more than 5 seconds.
Netflix is awesome. There are definitely things that can be improved, like any other company, but overall things are great. And yeah more $ does make a huge difference.
how are vesting options faring for newer employees though?
how are strike prices adjusted? do they ever expire?
I used to work at Netflix before coming over to Facebook and miss it so much. Only thing good about FB is it’s reorging all the time so I now manage a large team, which wouldn’t have happened if I stayed, but overall pay, high performing coworkers, etc can’t be beat. The shitty ass fb holiday party made me miss Netflix so much. That would’ve never happened at Netflix.
Agree for the most part, except high performing workers. Average talent quality of Netflix is not the same as Google or Facebook. Entry bar is way lower
I think we put more emphasis on hiring for culture than Google or Facebook. The entry bar is different.
Maybe they're actually happy. We'll never know unless we join someday
If they ever give me a call that is.
