Don't know much about LA area. Any good neighborhood to buy a home with $700k budget with good school. I work in West LA but price in that neighborhood is expensive. #losangeles
Compton
Is that scary place?
Yes, very. Especially when you drive down Crenshaw. But your $700k budget will love it.
I would consider Bellflower, Downey, or north Long Beach.
Irvine
Too far
I uses live in toluca lake/ studio city area many years ago. Loved the area, but I cant speak to the schools. Highly doubt you could get anything but maybe a condo with that budget. Also commute wont be great to west side (but probably better than pasadena)
Hidden hills
Cheaper home is $5 million
Good luck with a 700k budget. Simi Valley maybe? Far burbs or the hood are you choices under a million.
Central LA is difficult unless maybe a condo. Try broadening your search
Townhomes are available at that price point in the SFV. If you’re wanting to avoid that commute, there are maybe some options in Culver City. There are pockets in the valley that are nice areas with good public schools.
