I’ve been living in Seattle since 2019 and it sucks.
My biggest issues are:
Serious lack of sunlight. This is intolerable at this point. I thought I could handle it but I cannot anymore. Summers are nice but don’t make up for 9 months of gloom.
Full of homeless, drug addicts, psychos on streets.
To make things worse there are no strong positive aspects to living in Seattle either. No state income tax is probably the only positive.
With the permanent remote working option, I am planning to leave to somewhere sunnier with less mentally disordered or homeless roaming the streets.
Any suggestion?

Winters are brutal but the summers make up for it. Apartments aren’t as expensive as Manhattan and there’s a good night life.
Sucks for activities like hiking though.
