Vanguard? I’m in tiaacref and I don’t like the tools. Can’t find my Personal rate of return. Fees aren’t easy to locate either. Can’t get rid of the external accounts I added for 360 view, which is the absolute worst. I think I want to pull everything out of my mutual funds and put everything in etfs
I find vanguard to be satisfactory. Good funds , easy to do backdoor Roth.
I use betterment for IRA. So far it's been great! The software is very user friendly and the fees are reasonable.
Are the returns consistently above market?
If you are still employed this is rarely an option you have. Your employer chooses the 401k/SEP-IRA custodian. If it’s a rollover IRA, it’s your call. I like TD because you have ETF access and awesome tools
I suspect he's just talking about regular IRA, which is not related to employment.
I thought about this, but who (under 70 years of age) ever chooses TIAA as an IRA custodian to begin with...
