Amazon, FB, citadel, snap... Who else has a pip culture? Meaning they stack ranking their employees and certain bottom percents got pip
🍿
Most companies have a pip of some sort. It's a common practice to avoid litigation for wrongful termination.
Yeah but Microsoft doesn’t pip as common as amazon or FB
https://www.teamblind.com/post/Upcoming-RIF-alert-UYeUrpNe lol, OP, so naive.
there are no mandatory percentage pips at FB. Are you basing this off rumors from non-FB employees?
I know there are bottom 10% that needs to be managed out each cycle.
nope, there are no manage out targets
Capital one does stack ranking, last I checked
from Cap1, 1 of my team member was let go last year, while his teammate became a manager. a few months later, he was terminated, and he got a better TC offer in 2 months.
Never heard of PIP in Citadel.
Oh my bad they just fire people
Never heard of stack ranking either. If you suck, you get fired. Not something a good engineer worries about.
Is the pip from the other 3 companies not Amazon as bad as Amazon?
Not Google. PIPs are uncommon, typically come with ample warning, and don't automatically mean termination. I think Netflix is famous for firing low performances.
