2 years experience Macys - 105k ADP - 95k Are these good enough Salaries in Atlanta and which is better ?
That’s ~10% bro. How many years do you anticipate it will take to make up ~10%.
ADP is probably a better company especially long term, I’d try to negotiate it. I just got an offer from ADP and they were willing to flex the TC.
ADP has closed 2 locations in the last 6 months. If it's not a OneADP location, you're not considered for any promotions. Their raise structure is slightly below CoL.
When the difference is that small, I would make the selection based on other factors. For someone early in their career, growth is probably what you want to optimize for.
How was the interview?
Avoid retail. It's dying.
Macy's had insane furloughs including corporate this year
Ask adp to beat then join adp. Retail isn’t going to be where you want to be if we end up in a recession.
I had experience interacting with both companies. From my impression, Macys seems to be behind ADP. Of course, these salaries are enough. Macys is in Duluth, not downtown. ADP is also not in downtown. So the rent near the offices is really really cheap. It all comes down to what you expect and how you spend. With 2 years of experience, the numbers are fair for the type of companies like ADP and Macys. Pay close attention to the perks/benefits if you’re just looking to optimize for money. 10k might not be worth that much to trade for your passion. Join a place that you will grow
Jesus don’t go work at Macy’s. That place is bankrupt within the next 2 years. ADP is solid, market leader, improving tech. Go there
like everyone else said, get ADP to match. But beware, rent around alpharetta is expensive compared to other parts of Georgia. You’ll be looking at city prices to work at the windward office

Tipping culture is really getting out of control! Waiter gave me ‘a look’ because I tipped her 10% for ‘BAD service!’
Unless ADP is supplementing that 95 with every imaginable perk, then TC is king. Macys
