Guardians is a really good team. We’re designing and improving new recruiting systems and tools

I’m coming in as an SDE2, but only worked in “easier” companies before, so I don’t really have experience in building big systems/using stuff like AWS.

So what’s important to me, I guess, is having a place to work that’s good to learn at, and have a good WLB. I didn’t 100% get that vibe from team match from the guardians team, but that could be just random first impressions.

Do you think your team would be good for me?

You don’t necessarily have to have strong building systems or AWS experience.
You received an SDE II offer so you meet the SDE II fungible requirements. Our interviews are difficult so they must believe that you’re capable of being successful. I think it would be great experience to learn all of that. It’s a startup environment. You’ll be working on new development projects. The work life balance is good. On call rotates every week with other engineers but it’s a low severity and operational load. I believe it’s f/t remote and we have a solid hybrid schedule too.

1 sounds nice cuz usually finance orgs only have a 9-5 on-call but 2 sounds more interesting

Yea it does, at first it looks like you’d be developing some internal tool for ml teams but then the description transforms into a data role lol
