Which city is the best to move to in the USA to find best tech career opportunities, make real friends & raise family with balanced income vs cost of living ratio?
Are there enough tech jobs?
All major tech company has a location there
Austin?
Austin or Chicago for sure. But I’d say SF or NY for five years, meet a bunch of people then move
I'm worried that housing prices in Austin might go up by then
Chicago had a lot of tech jobs but FAANG has pretty specific things here only. For instance, Google Chicago is mostly hardware and sales
Google announced 2nd building and expansion in 2019.. uber freight is adding HQ in Chi ans 2k jobs starting next year
All I know is Google expansion is not doing mobile but maybe some backend stuff now? Now that you mention it, Facebook expanded too. Get ready for the winters though!
Asian? Seattle or bay area for friends.
Friends and family are for losers. Come to Seattle 😎
