Hi blind, I got PIPed from Amazon and my morale has been extremely low since then. I don't fear that I won't be able to clear interviews, but I fear that I won't be able to work once I get in. I come from Electronics and Telecommunications background and possess very little knowledge relevant to full stack dev, what I am really passionate about. Hence I would like to get into a company where I get to improve my skills and become a good full stack developer in future, where people won't judge me so harshly and fire/PIP me. Any company suggestions and referrals will be highly appreciated. #engineering #software #swe #faang
Splunk doesn’t have a mandatory PIP
If you want to get better at full stack then join a startup. You'll wear more hats and work on more. Your skills will grow faster.
Do startups fire if you can't take a lot of responsibilities?
I think the point is you're going to have to learn to take more responsibilities. And they're willing to work with you to get you there. As long as you're actually trying and improving you won't have a problem
It's pretty much impossible to get fired from Fanatics.
Will you help me with referral?
Sure! The TC won't be as high as Amazon, but the culture is really relaxed. The equivalent of an L5 will bring in about $190k.
Lyft
Lyft has PIP + Amazon managers. One of the blind post from Lyft was telling all about Lyft.
I have an Amazon manager and he's embraced the chill just as much as everyone else in his chain.
Join a government job. Like NASA /DoD. Unfireable!!!!! The guy I know used to come at 10 am, sift through a bunch of newspapers till 4 pm and then leave. This was at Ames
LoL, And here I'm taking about full stack developer XD
OP are you on an H1b work visa? Only citizens can get jobs related to National security.
Intel
Boomer and enterprise companies. You can literally get away not even showing up at work
OP, you don't have to worry about getting PIP'd again. I guess Amazon has scarred you right now. But remember, it'll pass. You might be doubting yourself rn but it'll pass. You can go through the companies list and see what culture suits you the best even get in the game and choose. Don't worry about getting pip'd because you won't. :)
Thanks man! Means a lot!

'Hindutva': The Radical Hindu Ideology That Seeks to 'Push Christianity Out of India’
Every company will fire people for not performing. It's just a matter of where that bar is. The ones you want to avoid are the ones that have mandatory PIP quotas.
Hi Google, thanks for the feedback. Can you please give an approximate list which companies doesn't have that quota?
There may be more, but the only companies with mandatory quotas I'm aware of are Amazon and Netflix.
