Which company for infra roles?

Hi I would like a new job, currently working as a software engineer but I am honestly a bit tired of writing code. I much prefer dealing with operational issues, scaling systems, troubleshooting, monitoring, ... I have experience with the following: Linux administration, Linux kernel (can go pretty deep and read/write kernel code), Go, C++, Kubernetes, AWS, Kafka, Cassandra, networking, troubleshooting, performance analysis. What are good companies/roles that you’d recommend? TC I would be looking for is around 350k for 9yoe. Thanks Blind and happy New Year!

What is your current company?

Site reliability engineer (or devops role )or solutions architect. Any FAANG would be good for this plus Microsoft. Or any newish tech company like Splunk.

Become an architect or just end your relationship with development and become a PM.

SRE is 350? What is Senior SWE then in FAANG?

ClubCorp billia Jan 1, 2020

We're not talking about specific levels, just the roles in general for fit. It would likely be senior SRE or sr. SA if you wanna talk about level.

You learn more as a SRE in companies that manage their own DCs. Don’t join some lame company that just uses AWS.
