Signs of low ego person at work: - Open to admit mistakes - Personally mature and peaceful to communicate - Does not take things personally or chases games of status Edit: please share your thoughts, especially if you vote for your own company :) this is not a pissing contest...
100% amazon definitely all good things over here. Ego? here ? no way
Who voted Facebook looololol
Who voted Amazon!?? 🤯
Apple does this by not allowing you to see other people’s levels. Really don’t see much of an ego here at all but I think it’s taken things to the other side of the spectrum. Ego drives excellence so without any ego, you end up with services that really aren’t impressive at all (specifically internal services, external ones are pretty great from the customer experience).
FB doesn't reveal levels too, but people are still super egoistic. Keep whining about how they deserve free food during wfh because they're so great and whatnot.
- Not revealing levels sounds like an attempt to drive merit based discussions and reduce some internal status signaling. - Free food on fixed schedule is a huge perk, especially when working from home and potentially forgetting to eat 3 times a day. Why do you find complaints about lack of this perk egoistic?
I don’t know why anyone said Google - it’s a great place, but perf-driven development does *not* lead to admitting mistakes or lack of games / politics ...
