And I mean...politics, lack of trust between teams, between teammates, between managers, bad development, lack of ownership...the works

Elaborate?
Majority of the folks are so insecure that they thrive in back stabbing..with ipo getting pushed, the anxiety is bursting up
Surprised to see Google even on the list, but it's possible there may be certain teams and orgs that have bad culture. There are many Google's within Google, there is no one culture per-se. By and large, I don't find Google to be very political, but mostly very process driven (for example the promotion processb in engineering, which is almost universally hated at Google is very annoying, but I'd not call it political).
Not taking a side, but didn't politically conservative people say they felt really alienated and out of place at Google?
I am surprised Microsoft is so low even with all the guns pointing at other org chart images and what not ...
Microsoft being the most political? Probably. Overall culture? Much better for employees. Employees donβt live with fear for PIP or getting fired easily. There is no self vocal reprimand or something like that. People try to improve the system when there is an issue rather than blaming a person. People are much more relaxed and enjoy good life just like everyone else unlike someplace where employees are dedicated to work and work is the life.
So you think either one of this.. 1. Apple is better in terms of these? Or 2. that is obvious answer so you donβt want to ask? :)
Stupid question
