New grad here. Hardware Engineering TC: 0
TC is not the only factor to consider when accepting an offer. As a new grad, it's probably the least important...
Can you explain the other more important factors
IMO TC is one of the most important things for new grads. Your TC, assuming no serious fuckups, should only go up in your career, and usually pay increases are calculated exponentially. So establishing a high TC early is one of the best things you can do.
If you want to settle in that company for a very long time then Austin is obviously better. If you want to move around every 3-4 years then bay area might be better.
Judging purely the numbers, Austin. But consider also that your TC will likely grow faster in the Bay
Switch to SW asap. Leetcode my children!
That’s awesome TC for Austin. You’ll enjoy your life more there I think.

Austin TC is way better. But one thing that I have tingly feeling about is if Bay Area is a better career move. Especially given you are a new grad and can always move to Austin later in career.
