Which console to get?
Choosing between Xbox one S and PS4. Any word if newer generations are expected to drop soon? Hoping to make a decision by prime days end. “Get a gaming PC” - no, I just want something to play Madden and 2k with my brother who lives across the country. TC 170

Terrible online platform
I bought a switch on Prime Day specifically to play CTR with my brother who also lives across the country. Bad decision. Switch multiplayer is terrible and playing CTR with a specific friend doesn’t work at all and we can’t figure out why. Returning it and going Xbox.
Xbox, Microsoft knows software better than Sony. :)

I went PS4, don’t regret it.
Went with the Xbox One S all digital. Came with 2 controllers, all for 199+tax. Thanks @jeffbezoz
Are you just playing Madden and 2K? Are there other games you would play? PS5 is rumored around April 2020 Xbox Scarlett is rumored Oct-Dec 2020
I might dabble with first person shooters but I’d guess 80%+ on those two
I’m a Xbox person myself. But if it’s just these two games, there’s no difference between the two.
