Which headphones do you own?

I bought Bose QC 35 headphones II. I'm impressed with their nose cancelation feature. But really not happy with the music sound. I'm planning to return. I feel it's over hyped. Any suggestions for over the ear headphones? Which one you own? And how do you like it? Thanks

Beats solo 3 wireless has the best music output, not great for noise canceling feature though

Check out audio technica...i use the one with the wire...the noise cancelation, volume and bass is off the hook!!

The Sony WH-1000X2 compete directly with the Bose and are arguably better. Do you need noise cancellation? That usually has a noticeable audio quality impact. Do you care if sound leaks out?

I probably don't care about noise cancellation as much. I definitely would not prefer sound leaks.

The AKG K553 are generally well regarded at a reasonable price. Is ~$350 the top end of your budget? The Fostex TR-X00 are great, but do leak a little bit. The Audeze LCD XC or Fostex TH-900 mk2 are great if you want to bust out big boy bucks. But might require an amp to really shine.

I had audiobooks technica but they hurt with massive pressure on ears/head. I faced similar problem with almost all over the head headphones I tried.

Sony 1000X M3 .. so far so good, a bit heavy on the bass

I dont think so. Sony does not have multiconnect feature and also the mic is poor for phone calls

Try Sennheiser if you want good sound but not a bass maniac. Their quality has never dissapointed me for entry level stuff. I generally don't like active noise cancelling cause they generate their own noise to cancel the environment. Others give me the sensation that my head is under water. I tested Bose QC 35 II briefly and they indeed seemed to cancel the noise well without side effects. I didn't like the noise cancellation on Sony WH1000X2. Can't say about sound quality as I didn't test long enough.

If you want Noise Cancellation, the Bose can’t be beat. If you want audio quality, go for a good pair of Sennheiser headphones.

Those are (mostly) open headphones, leak out sound like crazy. Great for home, not so much for an office.

I use earphones instead of headphones because I have prominent ears and headphones get tiring after a while. Shure SE846. Dream earphones: Noble Audio Kaiser Encore.
