Which is more evil, Uber or Lyft?

Lyft appears to be a nicer guy, but from the ipo, it seems the same evil guy, or worse. 1) lyft ipoed at the highest possible price, making early investors exit with huge profits at the expense of everyone else. Uber at least lowed the ipo price and appears less greedy. 2) lyft’s driver award is unrealistically limited to very few drivers. Uber at least expand the beneficiary pool by several order of magnitude. 3) lyft ‘s cp claim is kind of misleading or less convincing.

People who make a big show of how virtuous they are, are insufferable. For-profit companies that do the same, are evil.

Uber is bigger. Therefore more evil.

What about evilness per employee capital?

Intuit 👋 👋 👋 👋 👋 Apr 12, 2019

What is “employee capital”? It’s kind of late. My brain isn’t as good. Is your statement equivalent to “evilness per employee”?

I don’t like virtue signaling. But to be fair: Lyfts cancellation policy is better and they tend to give free credit if you had cancellation fees.

Uber bag Apr 12, 2019

Why is lyfts cancellation policy better? Please can you elaborate? And do you latest information from both the apps?

Dropbox systest Apr 12, 2019

When the driver takes really long to arrive, i cancel and get charged. But when I submit a complaint, Lyft almost immediately reversed the charge (no human involved)

Portraying that Lyft is not/less evil is the biggest PR success story I have seen in my career.

It’s not as success so much as Uber had story after story. Apparently taxi drivers killed them selves as medallion prices plummeted in NYC. I learned that through your S-1 filing today (Page 31). To be fair, that’s not exclusively your company’s fault— there are other ride-share companies.

Uber bag Apr 12, 2019

Exactly. That’s ridesharing model’s fault not Uber’s. Note though, 4-5 million drivers earn income through the Uber platform. That probably 100K times the number of traditional taxi driver jobs lost. This shows that the new market that Uber created benefits the society (both riders and drivers) in a much bigger way than the previous taxi model. The society needed Uber to exist.

Lyft is an elaborate troll

Verizon G.Jetson Apr 12, 2019

There were no profits at the expense of anyone else in the ipo. Someone willingly bought the shares.

Amazon DaReelReal Apr 12, 2019

I'm really happy Lyft is crashing. Hope artificially inflated Lyft TCs burn to ashes before the lockdown window expires.

Uber jidao Apr 12, 2019

That's just mean, why wishing bad things to ppl who didn't do anything to you? Is that just pure jealousy?
