We all know Netflix doesn’t. Any other company? SAP? Cisco? Do they grant RSU? List them here:
Bloomberg
Out of curiosity is Bloomberg considered as tech company ? media company? Or finance? Bcoz OP clearly asked for tech companies.
Bloomberg has a lot of tech work, but culture wise its much closer to finance. Definitely not a tech company.
Wait Netflix pays cash only?? 🤑
Netflix provides an employee option plan. It's not cash only, but you decide how much you want to be compensated in cash. Some paid themselves nothing but stock options. This is in line with our freedom and responsibility culture. It's your money your decision. Wouldn't it be nice if your company let you decide how much of your compensation is in RSU?
Agree. But at that point, what’s the difference between rsu and just buying stock with your base pay? (Serious question)
I know at least Cisco Meraki does grant RSUs
Capital one doesn't unless you're high up in the chain of command
And C1 is the definition of a “”tech” company”
You need to be at minimum a Director level employee in order to receive equity at Capital One. Also, Capital One is not a tech company. Kill that noise.
IBM
Salesforce, most people don't get refreshers.
Autodesk has been doing RSUs with 3 year vest but 3 month cliff which is pretty neat
Goldman Sachs
State Street
VMW grants 🥜 and refreshers are uncommon
Is base/bonus decent to make up for it.
IMO not anymore
