At one point in 2016, they were #1 employer on Glassdoor and had best perks, TC, WLB. What happened? I mean even Amazon has 3.9! https://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/Airbnb-Reviews-E391850.htm TC:300K
Maybe most of Amazon isn't is bad as blind makes you think 🙃 Also, things can get less fun when an IPO is imminent. Instead of working towards a mission you believe in it can shift to working on KPIs for the best IPO price.
Lolno But agree on ipo issues
Some ratings are from renters rather than employees.
Proving that people are morons.
WLB TC and benefits are good. Assuming you count RSUs for something of course.
We don’t pay Glassdoor boatloads of money.
From what i have observed and heard, management is a big concern. Too many managers m1 lack engineering background which makes them incapable of judging directs’ work and not able to help directs grow.
How can you be an M1 without an engineering background? You have to have been an IC 5 or 6 at some point.
A lot of those are written by Airbnb hosts (not employees). Filter by job title and you should see a higher avg.
Also a lot of reviews in there written by customer support agents
Based on reading the complaints, it sounds like they promoted a bunch of young people with no management experience to be managers
Linkedin and Facebook do that too, they have 4.4+ rating each.
