Why Indians are so good at becoming CEO/CTO/CFO at large companies?

But why can’t we build a company? Except for Flipkart, I can’t think any big companies built by Indian founders. Are Indians so bad at innovations? It seems like Indians are soooo good at taking an already successful business, but bad at building their own. Something wrong with our education systems?

Are people from outside coming and founding companies in India?

Wayfair hErg55 Apr 19, 2019

Why would they, there is no incentive to do so. It's much easier to build a company in the mecca of technology.

Rhetorical question dude! Then it’s Indian founders in India. So how is OPs question even sensible?

Microsoft weirvhtd Apr 19, 2019

Its not Indians, it's India.. India has no investment, even 1 crore investment in a startup is big money

Indian capital market is broken on top of lack of capital in India.

Are you so thick? Amazon takes a toll on basic reading and comprehension skills I guess. Don’t bother.

They’re startups, not big companies

I’m not Indian but I seriously doubt it has to do with anything about being Indian. First thought is that it takes a while for companies to get big and perhaps there had been or still is a systematic bias against non white male founders. Secondly I personally know Indian folks involved with startups, so I’d look at the data and see how many Indian ceos we have in up and coming companies to see if this is a perception issue that might be entirely different in five or ten years

I’m not so sure that “stat” about most founders being under 30 is true. In fact, I seem to remember reading recently that in reality most are over 50.

@microsoft . What?? 1) Indian accent is one of the most horrible ones. Sometimes can barely be understood 2) definitely not .they are one of the worst culture to have in engineering. They never openly acknowledge when they don't understand something . They want to show off more than doing.
