I would never refer someone who I didnt know in real life. What makes you think getting a referral from a random internet stranger is going to help you get a job?
Most people here work at large companies where referring someone doesn't cost any reputation. For someone applying, they are just looking to get the interview. Referrals are just a quick way to get the foot in the door.
Referral to map box?
No in general - most of the posts in this app are just asking for referrals.
People asking referrals: are needy People willing to give referrals: are idiots
I don't think that's the right way to see things. The person may have tried the usual ways and those wouldn't have worked, so they're covering all the bases. I've asked people here for referrals, and gotten callbacks. :) And I've given referrals as well.
Yep, no risk in referring.....possible upside in bonus. It's up to HR and hiring manager to determine quality of candidate not the refer-er. That said, probably makes sense to make sure person is appropriate on paper otherwise just a waste of time
Sourcers do this as their job fyi, just dont lie about how you know the person, and donât refer ppl you wouldnât hire
It actually works though. That's why people do it.

I do refer for the sweet referral bonus. Why wouldn't I?
I guess that makes sense if bonuses are involved.
You really get 5k no question asked for a successful hire ?
