I understand chinese people living in China are scared of their supreme leader. What about chinese folks living outside China? CCP has blood on their hands reg the corona virus, so why dont they ask question and held CCP accountable for this mess? #covid-19 #coronavirus #CCP #china Edit 1: Sure CCP might have done a great job containing the virus. Do ya'll think the following questions are not relevant and shouldn’t CCP answer those: - Why initially they tried to hide covid-19 outbreak? Don’t you think the world would be a different place if that has not happened? - Why Fang Bin and Chen Qiush (people who tried telling the world about corona outbreak) just vanished? Where are they? What happened to their social media account? - Why the kits sold to Spain and Czech by China are faulty? - Why the reporters from CNN, NYT, etc were removed from China? I am genuinely curious why Chinese people don’t ask these questions?
Who’s going to answer those questions? My president is not Xi.
Wrong. The Chinese are not afraid of their leaders and Xi is not the “supreme leader”.
I hope what you are saying is true. I also hope folks who are responsible for this mess bought to the books.
Apparently western countries are in much bigger mess now. What the hell are the governments doing
Debating between different “tech stacks” is stupid. Focus on upgrading your favorite one to the latest version with all known security patches. People understand that when comparing iOS and Android...?
Had similar thoughts and I posted a more concrete story to make the anology
Can you elaborate on the logistics of asking questions to CCP? Do I print these out and send to their P.O. box with priority mail? When will I receive a reply and how exactly will it change anything? Not a Chinese national, if that matters.
Exactly the reason why I have asked this question. You think nothing is going to change and we shouldn’t ask questions. How sad!
How did things change when people asked questions abt the missing nuclear weapons that was the guide to start a war with Iraq? Eventually more bombs and missiles went to the Middle East. That’s so exciting
I can tell you why, it's the language barrier that prevents Chinese people from knowing the truth. I'm from China and I know all my friends only read Chinese news despite being in the US.
I’m a Chinese national. People in China asks questions and people are sad and angry when one of the doctor who was silenced by the police died from corona. But you need to know, CCP is not one person or even one group. It has 100 million members. They have a report chain and not everybody in the government has the same leadership skills. The local government of Wuhan did a shitty job especially the initial coverup. People outside China would like to generalize this as an authoritarian problem. However I don’t see it much different from Trump trying to make it sound unimportant and not harmful. When the central government took that problem seriously, the leadership was applaudable. Resources were poured into the area after lockdown. You probably heard about those temporary hospital built in a week. There are also a mobilization of doctors called one province for one city(each city in Hubei province got help from a doctors coming from one specific province). Sure people in China still are not happy about this thing happens in the first place despite of a good mobilization afterward. But what happens two months in other countries makes my fellow Chinese citizens think that our government isn’t so bad in performance. It is worth pointing out that the principal of “seek truth from facts” developed by Deng Xiaoping has been a key motto for the CCP to solve problems. It helps the government stay away from ignorance and arrogance. Another key thing is the pragmatic approach makes the CCP constantly involving via self-reflections and reforms. It is not a problem for the government to make mistakes, but a problem if they don’t improve. Beyond, accountability is not a problem. Over 300 government officials were accounted for during the whole virus fighting. The head of Hubei province and Wuhan city were fired and replace by head of Shanghai and Shandong during the process. People here in the states talk about accountability all be cause they want to see the Chinese people overthrow the whole party. This thinking will not help you understand the reality, because the real world is much more complicated than most people can imagine. As far as I can see, China’s political system has more accountability than traditional western democracy, not less. Because since the leaders are not elected, people have more rights to question them and blame them.
Because they are supporting their government to make China the single most powerful entity on this planet at any cost.
If that is the case what will an avg Chinese achieve by supporting them? They will still be living in an authoritarian regime with no rights
That's what we think. Ever considered "freedom" may not be that important to many of them?
What??! And you got 2 likes for this comment! Looks like somebody doesn't like being asked questions.
Ask all you want. You have plenty of free time anyway
Hmmm another CNN brainwashed question. let me see when the CCP uses quarantine measures, the west says it's authoritarian. When the CCP managed to successfully reduce cases, the west calls it deceitful. When the CCP sent many nurses into Wuhan and stop traffic in/out of the city the west says no human rights. When Italy does all these shit it is "standard and effective". CCP is not all that good but it is not as terrible as the media described. Sure there might be Tibet/muslim issues, which my Chinese coworkers are fully aware of. It's not that the Chinese don't ask question, they see clearly how the CCP brought their families out of slums into modern prosperity. Political rights takes a backseat when you are destitute and poor as shit. New generation Chinese are also working to change the country. I am not in any way afiliated to the CCP or China but I studied their language and their culture and read a fuck ton of books from their perspective. Last but not least, MAGA!
You still haven’t answered my question. You deny that they don’t have blood on their hands? Didn’t the virus started from Wuhan? Didn’t it travel to the world from Wuhan but not to Beijing or Shenghai? Weren’t the people who tried to make the initial knowledge public were vanished? 80% of the Corona testing kit sold to Czech and Spain were deemed faulty.
Omg. Your accusation is so fallacious. Following your logic New Yorkers who fled NYC and bringing that virus to the rest of the country have committed mass murders as well. Read the news, Shanghai and Beijing started isolation fucking early and did all they can to stop. U.S. govt didn't do shit until this thing explodes. I think instead of hating China the US govt should have self reflection and the blood I am seeing is more vivid in the west. Think Italy's 10% death.
