YOE?

Maybe because you came off like someone who thinks they’re one step ahead (I.e. smarter) than everyone?

Apple appleguy45 May 25, 2018

I hate to say it, but sometimes that is the case. Sometimes people feel threatened by brilliance. That’s assuming you didn’t make a fool of yourself tho.

Uber vfOb56 May 25, 2018

Yep. Odds are you aren’t a genius. Even if you are, gl convincing interviewers of that in 1hr. You cannot be an egotistic stubborn jerk in an interview.

Behavioral ??

Could be anything. Maybe one of your interviewers was prejudiced. Maybe you didn’t do as well as you thought you did. Maybe you didn’t explain your solutions sufficiently.

Where’s Gayle Lackman McDowell to answer this question?

WalmartLabs dhoom3 May 25, 2018

What do you have against her?

Microsoft HaroldShum May 25, 2018

Nothing. She has a very lengthy answer to this question online.

WalmartLabs dhoom3 May 25, 2018

How do you stay one step ahead of the interviewer? Did you say- now please ask me a problem in DP. Infact I suggest we go with this specific problem....

Facebook Blind4Lyfe May 25, 2018

You are never one step ahead of the interviewers since they have asked the question so many times. You were just being led. Interviewers are also suppose to be nice and will adjust the level of your question based on how you are doing.

Behavior round could be one of the biggest reasons. Also the solutions you provide should be optimized solution.

Uber TC or GTFO May 25, 2018

Thanks for providing your TC. It could have been something really small related to culture fit. Companies like Facebook pass over great candidates all the time because they would rather accidentally skip a good candidate than accidentally hire someone who doesn't work out. If you did well in the interviews they will likely invite you back again in 6 months or so.
