Slack was the flagship trendy chat client the last few years. Everyone wanted to get onboard, and they got away with murder charging insane prices for a bloody chat client. But now, in the last few months all I see are non-stop bugs. To list a few off the top of my head: - The client freezing/crashing - Messages getting "posted" but never actually being sent - silently dying without indication - Rolling out new "features" like dark theme on mobile but not having tested it so quoted text is invisible - Image uploads becoming bugged out on iOS mobile, forever stuck with images at the bottom of the app I mean, did you guys just throw in the towel or something? Did you fire your quality department? All you had to do was NOTHING and things would have continued to work. But as it stands, it seems like you're working your way towards obscurity with a decaying product. Every week is a new round of untested features/bugs.
You either die a trendy chat app or live long enough to die like the rest of the old chat apps. There is never going to be a single, universally good chat system
Pretty sure I've got one of those single, universally good chat systems in my emacs config
Obviously, the Slack folks are now slacking off.
Teams is taking over
