Isn't it a done deal at 54? Why bother with all this at all? Is it a good/stupid strategy to buy at 50? Tc: 320k Yoe: 7
Well the deal hasn’t happened. They just have an agreement. Sometimes these things fall through. Even if you knew 100% it would happen at $54.20, it should trade at a discount based on the prevailing interest rate.
Will take 6+ month for deal to close
What’s a smart strategy? Wait until it closes, or get out now, since there’s not much more
Regulators can block the deal
Why would a public company not be trading? Lol

Closed now - thank you all
Deal hasn't closed yet. There is still risk involved. If TSLA goes down far enough Elon could be forced to cover loans against his stock. I think this is unlikely but you are essentially taking a bet with minimal upside and huge downside
What’s the downside in owning TWTR when it’s already down from its ATH of $75? It’s not like all other stocks are rising and also it’ll never be a penny stock , if strategy is to hold for long term it’s a good investment imho If deal is closed successfully then we can still see an upside of 7-8%.
ATH is irrelevant now. If you want to take the bet, go for it. I for one am not betting on Elon's unpredictability and would rather get a 7-8% return on I-bonds with 0 downside
