Looking at posts here. It’s pretty clear coding jobs make more. Why not just attend a coding boot camp and pivot to tech?

The problem is I am very experienced. It is not easy to downlevel yourself even if the pay is good. And if you want to go back to finance, this change won’t help you. So, any move should be very smart and well thought out.
This may not be true, but I personally felt as though the career path that would help me become who I wanted to be overall was finance. Being able to understand businesses, do lots of presentations in front of key leaders, and learn the language of business (accounting) while at it appealed to my goals. I hope to transition in to hopefully having my own businesses down the road and I think the skills in corporate finance applied more to that dream than something like swe at least for myself.
