Why the fuck is leetcode asked for SDE 2 and above roles ?
Annoying af to grind irrelevant shit for months.
I can understand that industry has no better mechanism for hiring for junior level roles and leetcode style interviews serve as a great way to weed out people but for senior level roles it's dumb to make people grind for months.
As we get older our muscle power decreases and cognitive abilities to detect patterns decreases too. Brain teasers start hurting your brain. And all I want is a Senior Engineer role to deliver features.
Why do I have to grind meaningless shit for months?
Seems like this is a way through which companies are discriminating older employees and thereby keeping them underpaid for years.
Senior employees tend to have wife, kids and family and hence won't put up with the grind for months Altogether. Hence can continue getting paid 🥜🥜 for lifetime.
And honestly if I was bad my company would have pipped a long time back then keeping and prompting year over year
