Hi, I got an offer from JP Morgan & Chase Bangalore and accepted it. They are not explaining much about the project and kind of work I will be doing except that the position is Software Engineer ( no machine learning) . My interest is in Software Engineering Machine Learning but got opportunity for other profile. One month after accepting their offer and completion of onboard process, I have received another opportunity from IBM and the their job profile is something I'm interested in. If I accept IBM's offer and rejects JP Morgan now , will I be blacklisted from JP for forever?
Just tell them you got another offer for a higher level/comp/etc and make up a number high enough for them to accept your decision and not to try to compete.
JP is not that great anw. I wouldnt bother
How much was the offer? JPMC and IBM? YoE?
Probably but it may be worth it anyway. What are the offers?
IBM's profile is AI/ML Developer and JP's profile is Python Application Developer but I'm not sure if they do any product development and also they are not telling anything about the project. Some people say software engineers in JP only do operations in India. That's the reason I'm not sure as I hate operations and my current role in my current company REConnect (now I'm serving my notice period in REConnect) is more into research and development. It's just JP is a brand, but don't know if it is a great place for software engineers from learning prespective.
I would follow snapchat's advice but IBM sounds more attractive here
