Will you fly with 15" MBP ?

honestly I'm glad I have an older 13" MBP and an XPS 15 as backup options. Even if you have an older model MBP or a good battery, will you risk the hassle ? https://www.forbes.com/sites/ewanspence/2019/08/17/apple-macbook-pro-fifteen-inch-battery-recall-safety-fire-faa-airline-flying-ban/amp/

So 2019 rMbp is ok?

TripActions ohai Aug 18, 2019

Well I mean... It's still shit hardware and has a touchbar so "ok" isn't the word I'd use to describe it, but no, I don't think it's a banned model as it isn't yet known to spontaneously combust

My MBP is impacted by the battery issue. I’ll get it replaced it, but I’ll start bringing my backup Thinkpad x230 on flights to avoid potential hassles at the airport.

The TSA agents haven’t been notified yet, they’re still looking for water filled bottles.

They were looking for them in Australia when I flew out a few days back and actually checking all Macs they saw. They're not really tech folks so they don't know what to look for.
