Got a call from HM hiring for AT&T. Google some info on the company and doesn’t look like a company I want to work for. Position is Data Scientist in Dallas. TC = 102k with 18k not guaranteed. What’s your thought/advice?
Better than any other telecom company
Lol no.
Better thank Sprint?
Yes, if pay, manager, work are great. Employer brand doesn't guarantee success.
I learned very discriminatory if you are a minority . To some good salary is a journey while to others (minority’s) it’s a destination and some don’t get to it ever.
Do you think other companies are better? You have to sense out the hiring team and manager, like I said above. Don't work for a shitty team/manager anywhere.
ATT nowadays lags behind for tech. But good culture and people can work till retire. And those senior guys with family won’t bother coming here showing off TC
Yes if you can’t find anywhere else. Leaving after 1 year for amazon.
Howdy partner
It's good wlb, but don't expect to get paid much. I stayed for 2 yrs then left for Google.
Where are u currently located. What is your current TC? What is your current YOE?
Hahahahaha. AT&T is a poorly managed place acting like a tech company. Layers of managers for small teams. A team of 6 independent contractors have an associate director that have a director that have an AVP and VP and SVP. One the IC completed a training in ML and all they wanted him to be doing is update PowerBI. If and when you have management excited about introduction of PowerBI in 2019 you know you are in a wrong place.
Ew
