I’m a nearly new grad looking to make a career transition into game industry cuz i believe it’s where’s my passions at. I have experience in both front end and back end, not so much game related tho, only did a unity 2d bullet dodging game back in college if that counts. Looking for all kinds of roles.
yoe: 0.5 full time around 1.5 if internship counts

Consider staying in software and learn good development practices, practice unity 2D, make a game or two in your spare time, do a couple game jams, use those to connect with other game developers, and see if that's really what you want to do full time.
Don’t get exploited.
Case in point, an episode from Patriot Act

Find an indie studio that is not SJWoke to the max and you’ll find productive fellows with lots of knowledge to share.
But yeah. Expect really low pay, and a lot of stress because some dipshit says “I don’t like this, change this.”
And in the end, you won’t get the full credit.
