Have got an offer from SCOT (Supply Chain Optimization Technologies) team at Amazon as L5. (Specifically looks like they are working on demand/inventory demand prediction). Work wise, they seem to/pitched as to doing some heavy ML work. Any insights as to how the team is work-wise, culture wise, WLB,.. would be super helpful. Edit: Forget TC(Still in discussion), I only want insights as to how the work culture is, nature of work, importance of the team at higher level(Visibility) and promotions.
What level were you offered? In SCOT, promotions are exceptionally hard, even more then rest of Amazon. If L5, be prepared to stay there.
Got it. How about Demand/Inventory prediction ML team..Does this make it any clear?
For asking out loud, where’s my TC? YoE? Offered TC? Location? Without all that you sir can go join Albertsons for real.
At this point my P0 is the kind of work and which I don’t think is linked to any of the above Sir. Location Seattle.
There's more operational research scientists in SCOT than ML
Interesting. But work description was about building models that do demand prediction. Sorry for the lack of specificity under SCOT, but this team under SCOT seems to be doing inventory/demand prediction which I believe is more of ML than Operational research.
Got it ... that team does ml
PM me. I worked in Demand forecasting f2p team. LOT of politics in SCOT but my luck was bad. I hope you get a good team :)

Forget numbers I am concerned about the work nature.
It was more for me. I might ditch my job if your numbers look good enough
