Varies from team to team and people to people. Some folks work 50 hours a week and others 30 hours in the same team
What causes the difference in team? Politics?
It always come down to performance pyramid. Some are more driven and others are slow.
Used to be great before quarantine
What caused the sudden pressure? Why not close the laptop when it’s time?
Super early meetings like 7AM, but people still expect replies at 5 or 6 PM
No work, all life. The culture is that you get the work done by vendor's CW employees. Then you take credit of success and blame them for failures. Also, you can fix a bug or two here and there to claim that you are an expert in the field.
Slayed it, but if you are a contentious soul you don’t do that. I see genuinely hardworking FTES is middleware, OKTA and other P&T teams. Slackers do exist and TMobile needs a way to weed out the BSers who have made it to MTS and above
I know a lot of people who likes to do things and can do much better job. They leave TMo as soon as they can.
It depends from team to team, Most of the teams I have seen are really relaxed. Most of the time It depends solely on you on how much work you want to put. Rarely you need to work extended hours for releases or get the shit done. Most of the people come here to get settled and stay in the company for a long time because of relaxed WLB. So you get the idea. I'm on beginning of my career so try to put 45 hours a week, because there is a lot to learn and gain enough experience to get into better paying companies.
