Avoid aerospace, it's a race to the bottom right now on how shitty they can be to their employees.
Conditions in SpaceX are not good? Must be exciting to work there no? How’s the WLB? Do you think you will take humans to Mars by 2025?
The excitement wears off. Almost all benefits and cool company events have been cut. Zero work life balance 12-14 hr days with few breaks. At least hourly employees get Gov. mandated breaks. No way will any of the lies Elon tells be met on time. We dont have the money or people to do the work we currently are contractually committed to do. Hourly workers over time was cut because we're running out of cash so salary workers are expected to pick up the slack.
I did once upon a time. I worked for one of the big “traditional” aerospace companies with space contracts. I just applied. I guess it helps if you have a security clearance already.
