I applied for a position at Salesforce. Salesforce uses Workday so there's no way for me to follow up with them through that platform. I applied over 2 weeks ago and the only update I have is my application's status was changed to "Review." I had applied for a separate position which was immediately marked "No Longer in Consideration" but this current position I'm looking at will be a better fit for me anyway. Do I just keep my fingers crossed and hope they reach out? Do I find a recruiting rep on LinkedIn and inquire? I would like to know more without being intrusive. Anyone who has applied to / works at Salesforce have any insight? #Salesforce #Workday
Without referral your application to Salesforce will directly go to 🗑️. Find a referral or even better find a referral who works in the same group that you are applying for.
I do know someone who works at Salesforce but they are in a different department than where I'm applying to be. I included his name in my application where they ask for who recommended me. I feel like if my resume were tossed out, it would be marked "No Longer in Consideration" like the other application.
If they consider you will get an email within a week. If it's been sitting in review for over a week it will eventually get to not considered when they close the role.
More than half of the new hires are through referral at Salesforce! https://fortune.com/best-companies/2020/salesforce/
My status shows Screen for a week now (applied via employee referral). Another status shows Review for a week (also a referral) Not sure what's going on.
Yep. Cross your finger and move on. Keep looking.

It’s a black hole. For each role there’s probably a different recruiter that has a different way of processing the application. Even if they passed on you you’ll probably not find about for several months. Most likely you’ll never hear back unless you apply via a referral.
