Guys, little bit of dilemma . In the RTP area but planning to move ( personal reasons). Have 15 years tech experience. Just finished last round with AWS Pro Services for a position in Bay Area ( they seem pretty open to relocation) . The interview was solid. A. I am asking for 300k in TC first year . Is that realistic ? It looks like level 5 wouldn’t offer this. Can I negotiate level 6 ? B. I have heard lots of horror stories about work life balance, poor teams , etc . I am hoping that taking a position with them in the Bay Area would help with career ( Pay/ Stocks) in the next job even if the team I join is not the best . Any folks who have feedback on this. Did working at AWS help in your next job ?

Avoid teams with only Chinese or Indians especially with a Chinese/Indian manager
I was a client to Pro Serv before. They are some of the most knowledgeable and personable group I ever had encountered with. They are super customer focused. We asked them to drink with us, they drank. We asked them to bro down 80 hours/week with us, no problem. Take it what you will but if I were down to spend long hours at AWS, I would spend it with them.
