Does anyone have experience working at Ally? Specifically in their Software/Digital Transformation space: - Work/Life Balance - Total Compensation - Annual Raises - Vertical Growth Ally is marketed as a Fin Tech. Does it feel more like working for a bank or for a tech company?

More like a bank more often than not. WLB is great and everyone is very flexible. Nobody works more than 40 unless they choose to. Total comp sucks though. Definitely in line with other average banks like Wells Fargo or Discover. Annual raises barely beat inflation but some of us who did really well got 4%. Vertical growth is weird. The company is constantly growing and restructuring and promos can sit idle for a while. And even then, don’t expect “FinTech” salaries. TC 145 2.5 YOE

Does Ally Financial allow remote work? Or at least working in one of their satellite offices?
