My biggest issue now is constantly looking over my shoulder and being unable to relax and work like a normal person because of my Amazon PTSD.
My org gets Fridays practically off (encouraged by boss and director to turn off computer by 2pm and chill out afterwards like read a book or watch a movie). All training and learning counts as work and can therefore push ticket deadlines forward (no pip so long as we justify whats learned). We're also encouraged to do tech hours to just learn and talk and get better in like AWS or security or something. Apparently that counts as work.
Serious amounts of PTO used like almost every day like there's at least 10-25% of the org thats taking the day off. Even my manager within the month that I've worked has taken like a whole week offs worth. It's one of those just get things done mentality.
Lol it really is hit or miss!
