Working at BAMTECH / Disney Streaming

Any insights on what it’s like to work at Disney Streaming product org in NYC? I’m thinking about taking a job there but the interview process was a bit of a mess.

Curious to hear why the interview process was a mess. Could you elaborate? Was looking at Product Roles based out of SF.

Confusion over where role was located, changing schedules, changing interviewers, etc. I’m curious about what the day to day reality is like.

I heard bamtech is still its own org that doesn’t have many of disney corporate benefits except the silverpass.

My offer came from Disney with all Disney benefits. My understanding is that the insurance is considerably worse than when the company was with MLB.

when we left fox we lost a lot of perks like electric vehicle subsidy, museums access, discounts at a bunch of places. i hope disney has something similar.

How about I straighten some stuff out? I was at BAMTech when it was MLBs, and only recently left. 1) BAMTech now only exists for legal purposes. All employees of BAMTech are 100% disney employees. Disney emails, badges, benefits, etc. Yes this includes the Silver Pass. 2) Interview could have been a mess for many reasons, tough to say. 3) AMA Oh, TC: 50% more than Disney could ever offer, pay at Disney is a large reason folks leave. Myself included.

That seems like a weird question....do you know what your benefits are?

Interview process here is pretty chaotic because everyone is focused on D+. Makes sense that it was a mess, but still good place to work.
