Working at Google X
Any X’ers here have any inputs on what it’s like working at Google X? I’ve always been fascinated by Waymo, Loon etc and have an interview coming up with the robot project for Vision. Also is it easy to transfer within projects? I’m pretty interested in working for mineral but unfortunately not getting interviews from them. #tech #google #X #Alphabet #googlebrain
Most of them exist to make noise. Google is excellent at Search and Android and thats it.
And ads. Less good than Fb at ads but it still prints money like crazy.
Hmm I mean Google sure. But X is an alphabet company and I think Waymo atleast has been doing well. Verily as well? I guess there’s always a risk in doing crazy projects but you only need 1 to pan out
It's crazy hard to get into X even from the inside
So I’ve heard. Hopefully I can do well!
Yeah not saying it's impossible but I had applied to a few, I did get a phone interview with one hiring manager but they went with someone else with more relevant experience in that exact field (chemical engineering with machine learning)
I think you should give up on the idea of working on Loon...
