Anyone work at Pendo and have a POV? Work culture, work/life, how grueling/startupy it can be? I was at cushy companies, then slaved away for 3 years at a grueling startup and have some PTSD... then went back to cushy at Disney. Considering Pendo in NC. I know they value life outside of work but what’s on website may not match reality, just doing my research.
Did you learn anything? Pendo just did a big raise
I learned from talking to a lot of the people who work there... my takeaway is that it feels more startupy (pressure/stress) than I’m looking for or willing to do again.
Dunno. Gonna interview there and see what's up now that they're unicorn. 🦄 I too don't want to slave away with ptsd. Series E means they need to have market rate TC now too but we'll see :)
Wow good luck!
How did your interview go ? Did you join pendo? Please update on original OP questions if you have any insight
I wouldn’t recommend working there. They are quick to fire employees and their senior management aren’t great or inspiring leaders. Sales leaders are first time managers and it shows. During Covid, they fired 15% of staff and gave them insurance for one month - this was after raising a huge round and assuring everyone we were going to continue hiring talent. Remote offices have zero culture and are highly political. They are at the part of a startups lifecycle where you are expected to work a lot, are underpaid, are micromanaged, and culture is losing to plans of an IPO. Outside of Raleigh, non tech employees aren’t happy at work.
